A more productive resolution

There is a quiet coating of ice building outside today. Very pretty.

Here it is again. The time for a New Year promise to self. Even if I forgo making one of these resolutions every January the thought still crosses the mind. This year blah blah.........
Apparently people have been pondering New Year improvements for some time. The ancient Babylonians are said to have been the first people to make New Year’s resolutions, some 4,000 years ago. They were also the first to hold recorded celebrations in honor of the new year. They made promises to gods to pay their debts and return any objects they had borrowed. Today most people make resolutions only to themselves, and focus purely on self-improvement.

Most of us try to achieve only one or two goals. Others get a little carried away.
Woody Guthrie had 33 "New Years Rulin's" on this particular year-

My goal this year is to be muchmuch more productive.
Good luck to you and your resolutions whatever they may be for the new year.

Now on to some of that work.

A double strand necklace of blue and sandy glass, metal and beaded links.

A large beaded earring pair 2.75 inches.

A slew of tin earring baubles in progress.

They are now listed with blackened patina and sealed. I know there are a few people out there who may prefer raw shiny metal but the black brings out the color
in the tin so nicely I can't help myself.

Also up are some tin bangles. Fitting is small to medium.1/2" diameters & about 8" circumference.

More earrings of some variety

Vintage tin and sterling silver Budgie necklaces. Each one individual and a little primitive in feel. Sterling silver chain and clasps. 16 or 18 inches.

Wonderful post! So nice to see all of your new goodies. You've been busy! Already implementing the "more productive" goal. Beautiful variety of earrings and bracelets, and the budgie necklaces are simply irresistible.
